cups his nape and leans up so she can speak very close to one of those cute ears of his. this is a deliberate act of rebellion, to act with levity, to pretend sarcasm. much as what Sholmes did for her, she wants to do for him.

this domesticity hardly feels real. Arthur, gentle and gorgeous, hardly feels real. once he settles, she spreads her legs and reaches out to him for his shoulder rub—and presses her nose into his hair instead.
